The Moultrie-Valdosta South Georgia Region
The corridor between Moultrie (Colquitt County) and Valdosta (Lowndes County) — roughly following US-319 and the south Georgia farmland — is one of our most active service areas. This region includes:
- Colquitt County (Moultrie) — tobacco, peanut, pecan country
- Brooks County (Quitman) — directly north of the Florida line
- Thomas County (Thomasville) — the plantation heritage region
- Lowndes County (Valdosta) — the I-75 anchor of south Georgia
Together these counties form a connected service area that we navigate regularly.
What Connects This Region
Common tree inventory: Live oaks on residential properties, water oaks throughout the region, pecan on agricultural and residential land, loblolly pine on rural parcels. The tree species are consistent across the corridor — what we encounter in Moultrie is essentially the same as what we encounter outside Valdosta.
Agricultural character: Most of these counties have significant agricultural land. Tree work on farms and rural residential properties is common — large trees near structures, fence-line trees, pecan management, post-storm cleanup on acreage.
Distance from urban tree services: This region is far enough from Atlanta, Jacksonville, and Tampa that it's not saturated with tree service providers. Rural properties often have trees that have been deferred for years because professional service wasn't readily available.
