Toombs County is in Southeast Georgia, with Vidalia as the county seat and Lyons as the co-county seat (one of only two counties in Georgia with two county seats). Vidalia
Vidalia is the larger of the county's two seats, with a population of around 10,000 — a significant regional center for this part of Southeast Georgia. The city has established residential neighborhoods, commercial corridors, and a historic downtown area. Mature residential trees throughout older neighborhoods include oaks, pecans, and planted hardwoods.
Lyons
Lyons is the smaller co-county seat, a community with traditional South Georgia residential character on the western side of the county.
