Hurricane Michael's Impact on Washington County
Washington County received catastrophic wind damage from Hurricane Michael as the storm tracked northeast through the Panhandle. The storm's center passed near the county, bringing sustained Category 4-5 winds.
Six-plus years after Michael, trees that survived in structurally compromised condition continue to present hazards. Storm-damaged trees that weren't removed may have:
