Jackson and Calhoun County Tree Service
Jackson County (county seat: Marianna) and Calhoun County (county seat: Blountstown) are adjacent Panhandle counties that both suffered catastrophic damage from Hurricane Michael in October 2018. These counties are among the hardest-hit areas in one of the strongest Atlantic hurricanes to ever make landfall.
We serve both counties for tree removal, trimming, and emergency storm work.

Post-Michael Landscape
Both counties remain in a multi-year recovery from Hurricane Michael's effects on the tree canopy:
Jackson County: Marianna's historic neighborhoods and downtown were severely damaged. The urban tree canopy — including significant live oaks that defined the town's character — was partially destroyed. Recovery replanting is underway, but the landscape still shows Michael's impact.
Calhoun County: An extremely rural county directly in Michael's path. Rural properties throughout Calhoun County took significant tree losses, and many remote parcels still have standing dead trees from 2018 that haven't been addressed.
Ongoing Needs
Years after Michael:
- Dead trees from 2018 that were structurally compromised but not removed remain
- Trees that survived with hidden structural damage continue to fail in subsequent storms
- Recovery planting has produced young canopy that's beginning to establish
If you have trees on a property in these counties and haven't had a professional assessment since Michael, it's worth scheduling — particularly for trees near structures.
