Tree Service in Holmes and Washington Counties
Holmes County (county seat: Bonifay) and Washington County (county seat: Chipley) are adjacent rural counties in the Florida Panhandle, located approximately 100-130 miles northwest of Tallahassee. Both counties were significantly impacted by Hurricane Michael in October 2018, which passed directly through this area as a catastrophic storm.
We serve both counties for tree removal, trimming, and emergency storm work.
Hurricane Michael Legacy
Holmes and Washington Counties took a direct hit from Hurricane Michael at or near peak intensity. The storm's destruction of trees — particularly longleaf and loblolly pine timber — was extensive. Years of recovery have occurred, but:
- Properties still have large dead trees from 2018 that were never removed
- Trees that survived Michael with significant root and structural damage have continued to fail in subsequent storms
- Significant new planting has occurred but young trees are still establishing
- Older trees that survived with structural compromise remain a hazard concern
If you have trees on a property in Holmes or Washington County that haven't been professionally assessed since Michael, particularly trees near structures, evaluation is worthwhile.

Rural Property Work
Both counties are predominantly rural, with agricultural land, timberland, and rural residential properties. Tree work here often involves significant rural property conditions — long-dead pines, trees near barns and outbuildings, post-storm cleanup across acreage.
